Today was the last day of the hockey tournament and the season. As best as I can figure they won at least 7 of the 8 games, one game was REALLY close. Anyhow, we played at 9 this morning and Aleks finally scored a goal, his first goal in a "real" game. He was so excited he even called me over to the ice to tell me---as if I had not just witnessed it....Now before you think I am playing favorites, I am not---Luke just does not seem to worry if he ever scores, he continues to focus on his skating! Aleks was also excited because the coach let him play a double shift today and he was moved up to second line from 3rd...so lots to celebrate.
I am also excited since I get a break, and my weekends back for a while! AND the weather is finally nice. We dropped some tulips by a neighbors house today anonymously. The boys were so excited to surprise someone. We left the tulips on the porch on our way to hockey this morning, and they had been taken in by the time we returned...my poor neighbor had her whole basement-finished flooded...not too high, but LOTS of damage, she was just so sad when we spoke yesterday. So hopefully we brightened someone's day!
This bunny has got to get hopping now, tomorrow is EASTER!
