my dancer and gymnast

Now a little brag about my middle guy...he has a big heart worn on his sleeve. Anyhow Luke has always been a tough kid, very active, not a great listener, and back when he was a toddler, he definitely had 2 left feet, which he would trip over while standing completely still!

He learned to skate, plays hockey, although it came much easier for his older brother. This past month I think he has really found his groove. Luke began tap classes a few weeks ago---LOVES IT! AND he is good! He only had a 4 week summer class prior to this one, his teacher thought he had been dancing much longer! He was beaming!

Then this week he started gymnastics. He had been begging for almost a year. Thursday was his very first class. 15 minutes into class one of his teachers came out and said, "we want him!--he is strong, flexible and a great listener". Ok this time I was beaming for him and me! He totally loved the class, and I knew he had the skills---I cringe as he puts on shows on our swings and monkey bars in the back yard...

I have worked so hard with Luke trying to figure him out. He seriously marches to his own beat which I adore, but its sometimes hard to know what goes on inside his head. He is a bit like denis the menace, getting into all sorts of things, but usually pleasant and only having the best of intentions...typically curiousity. He is fearless( except for dressed up characters), joyful, loving and confident...and certain to be a leader.
