Sometimes I need the kids to tell me loud and clear whats going on with them. Today, we were discussing Halloween costume choices...batman, ironman, anikin skywalker, storm trooper, and a butterfly.
Yes Luke wants to be a butterfly. I reason to myself that is more ok than the princess he wanted to be last week. I personally think he'd make a wonderful butterfly or princess for that matter, but I worry that at 5 he will begin to be impacted by the other kids comments. And I know there will be comments...just not sure how negative they will be...
When I asked him why the butterfly, he said "look its beautiful, and look at the wings, if I'm a butterfly, I can fly." Indeed.
